The first half of the story was full of detail–most of it unnecessary to the story–which slowed the action. It is clear this author knows kitties and loves them well. Regardless of where the inspiration came from the book is well written, has great imagery and has quality writing.

cgonicas While I don’t think this is a bad thing per se, CS Lewis did a much more effective job in the Chronicles of Narnia series. It is a good delightful story for 9 year olds. The two hero children had one magical power, and another, good character could do magic.
