There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming in Dreamless, and I drwamless admire Josephine Angelini for her inventiveness with mythology. View all 28 comments.
But I definitely did not like her woe-is-me-everyone’s-getting-at-me-and-it’s-not-my-fault-blah-blah-blah selfish yet selfless personality.

It’s difficult, but I believe that there are roads you never would’ve seen once you let Josie carry you away in her words. Sreamless is more focused on Helen’s role in the new world she found herself part of. Funny and brave, Orion shields her from the dangers of the Underworld. When the final battles come around, she once again finds the strength within herself to fight for all of them.
I can’t leave grammar mishaps uncorrected. Don’t misconstrue this as me saying that the book wasn’t good, because it was. Books by Josephine Angelini.
The story is so wonderfully clever in parts and is still the best YA Greek mythology retelling I’ve found!

For fellow geeks of Greek mythology, and others who yearn for a world fastened with gods and weaved with power, Dreamless captures and re-captures the fulfillment of that wish numerous times. Or agelini, whichever is best!
In doing so, she suffers from lack of sleep and actual rest which has a negative impact during her waking hours. Google, define “sophomore slump” for me, please. As the only Scion who can descend into the Underworld, Angelibi Hamilton has been given a nearly impossible task.

So, overall I wanted much more from a good portion of the book, but I thoroughly enjoyed the rest. Goddess is the third book in the Starcrossed series by Josephine Angelini. Automedon is a mindless bot, out to kill. I’m miffed that he and Helen still don’t know the rdeamless at the end of Dreamless, and I worry what that will mean for him in the next book.
